Reviews

"I think's it's an amazing collection. The eerie, subtle, sweeping backdrops add a very different feel, cinematic and modern, while the songs still have the colourful elements of 20th-century roadside USA. And they're story songs, so fascinating to sink into alongside the low-key, beautiful music. Fantastic guitar (obviously!) but great keyboards, all with the sense of creating a scene rather than simply playing a song. One Of These Days, The One That Slipped Away, Cincinnati Rain, all mysterious, as if someone was sitting at a crossroads watching the world go by. I could imagine the band on stage with a softly changing backdrop of technicolour images. Inspired production. A triumph!"

Nick Dalton.
One of these Days
One of These Days

An old timer delivers his version of LA to a young hopeful, newly arrived in the City of Angels, a world of 'beautiful strangers, some on their way to the stars, some coming down'.

"Love this song and sound! Cool accordion too!" Duke Robillard.
Human Remains
Human Remains

Humanity on its knees. Ruin and corruption everywhere you look and, with all faith lost, a feeling that ‘nothing human remains. It does, of course. We dig deep and, out of despair, find hope.
